8 oz. butter, softened
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 T. Cream or milk
Up to 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
This is a very sweet frosting, so spread it thin.
Beat butter, cream, vanilla, and 1 cup of the powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Sift and add in powdered sugar a little at a time, using only as much as needed to get desired consistency.
If your room is hot, chill the icing for a short time and continue.
*This is great for 3D decorating on Gingerbread pieces. Just leave out the vanilla so you aren’t wasting it.
*Use extra with Oatmeal Cookies to make oatmeal cream pies.
*It is the base for Caramel Buttercream.
