Apple Tart

Ingredients

1 pie crust


2 cans apple pie filling Or

Apple Fruit Pie Filling


2 apples

Several T. Lemon juice


2 T. Honey mixed with a tiny bit of water

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Press your crust into a tart pan.

Mash your fruit filling into a compote.

Put the compote in your shell and chill while you prepare your remaining apples.

Put the lemon juice in a bowl.
Peel your apples, then cut a chunk off each "side" of the apples so that you have 4 chunks from each. Thinly slice each chunk and put the pieces in the bowl with your lemon juice.

Lay the slices out on the tart, starting from the outside working in, in a swirl pattern.

Bake at 400 for 15 minutes, reduce the heat to 350 degrees, and bake another 20-30 minutes, until just lightly browned.

Brush the tart with the honey and return to the oven for another 10 minutes, or until browned.
