3 ripe avocados
1 lime or lemon juice (about 2 T.)
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. cayenne (optional)
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/2 - 1 whole jalapeño or Serrano pepper, diced
1 T. cilantro (can substitute Recaito)
1 -2 cloves garlic, minced
Put ingredients together in a bowl and mash or put in a food processor and blend to desired consistency. Keep covered and store in the fridge.
Recaito is a cilantro base that comes in a jar and can be frozen for long term storage.
