Ingredients

1 part vodka

1 part white rum

1 part silver tequila

1 part gin

1 triple sec or Grand Marnier (*1)

1 part simple syrup

1 part lemon juice

1 part lime juice (optional)

12 oz. can Coke

Garnish with a lemon or lime wedge

Description

Long Island iced tea was concocted by a bartender during a friendly competition in Long Island, in 1972, and named for its color.

Directions

Add all of the ingredients except the soda and stir together. Top with the soda and if desired, add soda as you drink until you’ve gotten it all in.

Serve with a straw and lemon or lime wedge garnish.

Hawaiian Iced Tea: Substitute pineapple juice for the soda.

*1 Use orange juice in a pinch
