Magic Cookie Bars

Ingredients

Parchment

2 cups fine graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cup + 2 T. butter, melted

1 (14 oz.) can Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 3/4 cup chocolate chips (*1, 2)

1 1/3 cup flaked coconut, unsweetened (*3)

1 cup chopped nuts

Directions

Line your pan with parchment paper.
Combine graham cracker crumbs and butter in small bowl.
Press firmly into bottom of prepared pan and drizzle a small amount of the sweetened condensed milk over.

Layer evenly with chips, nuts, then coconut.

Pour the rest of the sweetened condensed milk over everything. Let it sit while the oven heats.

Heat the oven to 325° F for glass or 350° for metal.
Bake 30-35 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool in the pan, then lift out of the pan with the parchment and cut into bars.

Store in a cool room or the refrigerator.

Notes

*1 You can use dark chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips etc. in place of some or all of the regular chocolate chips.

*2 You can add 1/2 cup raisins or mini marshmallows in with the chocolate chips.

*3 If you are using dried coconut flakes, you will want to soak them in hot water for a few minutes, then drain, before using to soften them.
