2 tablespoons oil or fat
3 tablespoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon oregano
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin
2 cups broth or water
In a pan over medium low heat, whisk together the oil or fat, seasonings, and flour.
Whisk in the broth or water and bring to a simmer. Simmer, whisking frequently for several minutes to give the sauce a chance to come together.
